Bathroom Remodel, Phase 1-Window
We decided (last minute) to replace the window. On Thursday, Travis, a railroader that does construction on his days off and also comes into the lumber yard just to play with Carter, and Taylor, his son, and Jade, his Golden Retriever, came out to help put the window in. It only took about 3 hours without any major uh-ohs. The biggest setback was getting the window level. Do we put it in level, or with the slope of the house? I usually split the difference when hanging pictures and coatracks, but we went with level this time. Without the casing around the window you can really see how sloped our house is. We only had to frame in a little and cut a little siding off (Sorry, no under construction pictures or exterior pictures). We still have to finish the exterior with something fancy and the interior gets new sheetrock. So for now this is our new bathroom window. Our walls are 2x4's so we didn't have to worry about extension jambs. The glass is frosted so the mini blinds will come down and I'll probably just put up a valance to match the shower curtain, or just leave it plain, depending on the finished look.

Glad to hear that you didn't have any uh-oh's. We can't seem to do any home improvement without uh-oh's and extra trips to Home Depot or Lowe's. Sounds like it will be really nice, when it is done. Excited to see pictures of it.
